I met these two shooting an amazing wedding last year. Allie was a bridesmaid at the wedding and was so helpful the whole day! She and I bonded over Taylor Swift, Needtobreathe, and Johnnyswim. We basically have the same music taste and need to go to a concert together soon! These two are such cuties and I was so stoked to get them in front of my camera. These two have been married one year now, here is how their love story all started:

“Two weeks before I (Jeff) was planning on proposing to Allie, I went exploring in the Santa Monica Mountains with Chris Ernst and Thomas Reiten, searching for the ideal spot to pop the question. We found this beautiful point overlooking the ocean and decided that this was the spot.

2 weeks later, Allie and I drove into the Santa Monica mountains as the rain clouds rolled in. Allie was wearing a dress that day for Dressember, a campaign to raise awareness for women sold into sex trafficking. I figured Allie knew something was up when she didn’t try and change my mind about going on “a quick hike” that day. We got out to the overlook, with nothing but clouds around us. There, we made one of the scariest, exciting, joyful decisions of our entire lives.

I (Allie) started to wonder why Jeff, “Mr. Planner”, had no itinerary for the day, but trusted that whatever we did would be my next favorite adventure. Our afternoon at the local coffee shop turned into a competitive game of Scrabble. While my mind was focused on what word to use on the Triple Letter Tile, Jeff was planning the perfect moment to ask me for forever. Yes, I wondered why we’re taking this “quick hike” to see an ocean view on the cloudiest of days (in a dress). But knowing Jeff, I knew this was important to him, so I went with the plan.
