Monique and Nick’s SF session was such a dream! We first got her makeup and hair done by the amazing Olivia Garvin and Amanda Savage. Then we took off to the Painted Ladies and ended the night eating ice cream downtown at the smitten ice cream shop! I do not think I will ever be tired of taking pictures of couples eating ice cream its just way too much fun! Want to know the best part of this shoot? It is that we talked all about how excited she was for her wedding someday in the far-off future. Then the next day we all saw she got engaged on Instagram and we all did a happy dance for her. Dreams do come true! Just because I know you all are dying to hear it, here is the proposal story as told by Monique.
“Nick and I planned a trip to San Francisco and Mendocino, California for our 7 year anniversary. Two of the cities that we love!
San Francisco holds such a special place in our hearts because it was the first city we ever lived together. We were 19 and 23 when we first met and moved in together only ONE WEEK into dating. Crazy right? Seven years later and zero regrets. That’s the crazy stuff you do for love.
On our anniversary trip, we visited nostalgic places and ate all the food. Our session with Jana was the cherry on top of our San Francisco portion of the trip before heading to Mendocino.
Nick and I visited Mendocino on our one month anniversary back in 2011 (time flies haha) and I fell in love with the beauty and calmness of Mendo. I knew Mendo would always be a special place for us. And it was! It turns out that one day after our session with Jana, my love finally proposed! We are so thankful Jana captured such a special time in our lives and are forever grateful. “
