Maricela and I have mutual cousins. So basically they are family to us. Shooting a wedding where family is present is always so special to me. I truly felt honored to shoot this wedding. When she first told me she was getting married I was so excited. Then she said she was eloping and I was even more excited. Elopements are my favorite. They are intimate and beautiful. This beach was where they had their first date and now said their vows to each other. I have always been a hopeless romantic so having a story behind the venue is truly special to me. This Monterey Bay Wedding started off by getting ready in a hotel by the sea. Then we drove to the beach and hiked down to this amazing bluff. We watched them say their vows and then climbed down to the rocks for some amazing sunset pictures. I also made them some yummy pumpkin butter chocolate chip cookies by Half Baked Harvest for them to celebrate their day! (I only wish I made more for the whole family to enjoy). Talk about one amazing wedding day.
P.S. I linked Half Baked Harvest blog above. All of her recipes are to die for and her new book just came out this week too. I will link where to buy her new cookbook above in this paragraph.
