My mom has been my encourager from the start of my business. She has been my assistant, driver, encourager and James grandma nanny so that my business can run properly. She has always texted me after I post a wedding which one she loves best so I thought I would let her pick out her favorite 20 photos from everything I have ever done just to see which ones she would pick and why. I want to see from her perspective which pictures move her so that I can see my work from another’s point of view too. Here we go! Thank you mom for so much encouragement and for being one amazing mama and assistant!

Her top favorites were the first 2 below: First one being my sisters wedding that I shot and second one being me (she shot it). I think she is a little biased, but I love her!

The one below my mom said was one of her favorites because it showed how much courage I had despite feeling super sick on this day. I was having a flare up with my heart disorder and was curled up in the car while my mom drove me to the shoot and back. I do not talk about my bad flare up days so my couples never know, but they usually end up being my favorite shoots as it becomes a way to distract me from the pain and put my heart and soul into my work. My mom says God is good, he took care of me on this day and along the whole journey of owning a business with a chronic illness.

The above picture my mom said was her favorite because it showed my determination. We shot a sunrise session in Utah and sunset session in Colorado. We got a little lost, went to the restroom in nature and climbed windy sand dunes for this shoot.
