My mom grew up right next to Mendocino. We grew up visiting and reliving the beauty of Mendocino county. It is the reason why I started to fall in love with shooting here and why I wanted to write this guide in the first place so people not only visit Mendocino, but fall in love with it too. Things to do:

1. Fort Bragg Skunk Train: If you want a historic train ride through the redwoods than look no further, here it is! I would bring a picnic basket and make a day of it. We did this as kids and loved it! https://www.skunktrain.com/
2. Fort Bragg skunk train rail bikes- If you want to ride through the redwoods and take a hike at the end of it this is the option for you. I personally did this last year and it was fun. I would opt for the longer one as we wished the trail was a bit longer since we were having so much fun. 3. Hike the cliffs- From downtown go straight out to the cliffs in sight and take the many trails out on the coast.
4. Kayak the caves and coast- My past couples have done this and raved about it! https://www.kayakmendocino.com/

6. Point Cabrillo Light Station State Historic Park- The lighthouse here is stunning!
7. Visit a beach- Van Damme Park and Big River Beach
8. Van Damme State Park- Camp here and walk right accross the street to the beach
