South Africa

11/11/2017

This was my third time to South Africa for the Camping 4 Africa missions trip. Every year it blows me away how this country and the kids steal my heart. However, this year was extra special because my hubby came with me. He was able to see my heart for these kids and this ministry truly changing thousands of kids lives each year. We started off the trip going to some amazing tourist locations such as Boulder Beach (Penguin beach), Cape Point (very tip of Africa where the two oceans meet), Table Mountain (7th natural world wonder) and a couple of amazing beaches along the coast. After a weekend of sightseeing and amazing food, we got right into our missions work. We went to squatter villages and were able to love on them with dances, songs, candy, food, and clothes. It was such an amazing time of worship with the kids and it always amazes me how much they truly love on us. I always go on this missions trip with a servants heart but in the end, I always get more love than I receive. These kids hardly get one meal a day and own really no possessions yet they are the happiest kids I have ever seen. I think it goes to say that its the kind of life I want to live someday. I hope you enjoy this amazing trip and fall in love with these kids just like I did. Also, if you feel called to give to this ministry please contact me and I will get you in touch with our amazing director Abby! All the funds go to feeding these kids and keeping our summer ministry alive where kids get to experience what its like to eat three meals a day and be a kid at summer camp!
