In 2021 I shot KC & Jimmy’s elopement and in 2022 KC & Jimmy celebrated with their family and friends at Straus Farm. Three Summer Day Events helped throw them on amazing celebration with every detail to a T reflecting who they are. KC & Jimmy are some of the most joyful people I know and their whole village of people who love them are exactly the same. They constantly cheered them on, smiled all day and danced the night away! We honestly could not be more grateful to not only know these two, but call them our friends. I asked KC some questions about why she chose this venue so you could hear from her why she loved this place so much. Hope you love this Tomales Bay wedding!

Why did you choose your location to get married at? 

Straus Home Ranch was absolutely stunning! We felt at peace when we first visited. Michael (owner) was so friendly and we felt and saw all the hard work they put into the venue. When we first met Michael it was like we were just catching up with an old friend. And that’s exactly the feeling we want our guests to have. The fact that we could rent out the space for multiple days was a huge plus too. Instead of a wedding “day”, we wanted a wedding “weekend” and the venue provided just that. It was flexible that we had rehearsal dinner on the lawn then karaoke! Oh, and we got the ice cream machine, it was a HIT. 

What was the best aspect of your wedding day? The people (guests, vendors, everyone)!! Also how it was so customized to us. The music, entrance, stationery, to the food (Taiwnese dessert table versus traditional wedding cake). 

What advice do you have to give to future couples getting married? Make the day your own! Add little touches that represent you guys as a couple.
