Here is their love story told by Trey:

“I’ll try to make this short. Maybe I was too much of a hopeless romantic, or simply had stupid, unrealistic expectations from reading books like Persuasion or Pride and Prejudice (due to my Mother’s encouragement), but I always thought if I ever got married it would only be to someone I just knew I was meant to be with and loved in an unbelievably intense and special way. Plus it did not help that I had always heard growing up, “Don’t marry someone you can live with, marry someone you can’t live without.” Well,  that mindset helped me remain single for most of my twenties, despite the occasional date (which I was usually tricked into haha). Anyways, after I had long accepted that the single life was for me, I started volunteering with this amazing girl named Kelly at a camp for elementary kids. Now since she had a long-term boyfriend it was great because we could just be friends and have fun without that awkwardness that comes when a guy and girl who are both single hang out. But then when a friend tried to set me up with someone, I automatically started to compare her with Kelly and realized that I was definitely going to be single for the rest of my life because not only could no one ever measure up to Kelly, but I knew in my heart that she was the only girl I could ever see myself with… It was a pretty devastating realization, as she was likely going to get engaged any day. So then for months, I avoided her at all costs, knowing there was a zero percent chance I would ever be with her. Until I found out one day from Jana that she was miraculously single! I think I managed to wait a whole day before asking her out, and even though she said no at first, I would not change a thing (especially since now I get to tease her about that). She is more wonderful, hilarious, sweet, and strong than I ever imagined, and as you can see in our wedding photos, absolutely radiant and immensely loved.Every day I realize more and more how unbelievably blessed I am to have married my dream girl, it’s like a real-life fairytale. Just look at our wedding pictures! We even had little kids ask if she was a real-life princess at our wedding, to which I would always reply, “Absolutely,” and mean it with all my heart”
