Thank you @lindseykang_ and @kangpaul_ for helping us pull off my dream of a shoot on the subway. When it comes to creative shoots I usually sit on ideas before doing them. Often times if it is a trend I will sit on the idea and then let it go. As an artist I can be inspired by so much, so I try and narrow it down to creating 5-7 shoots a year that are ideas I have had for years. I pursue the ideas that I have clung to for years so that way I know I am creating something meaningful and inspiring to me. I cling to ideas either for nostalgia reasons, trying a new trend that stuck out to me or challenging myself as an artist. For this shoot it was a mix of seeing artists like @rachelleinerphoto doing so many amazing nyc shoots and also wanting to try out different lighting situations. For this shoot I tested not using flash in organge light. If I do this again I will add a mix of flash, but I loved how it turned out! If you are an artist create just to create in your off season, it will inspire your work when wedding season comes! Hope you love this subway San Fransisco shoot!
P.S. This sweet couple brought along their daughter so we did some family shots as well as my originally planned couple shots. I have to say family shoots doing real life activities are the best!
