Half Moon Bay- Linnia & Max

1/06/2017

The most unexpected sessions are always my favorite! I had originally planned to mostly shoot this session on the beach. However, when we got there I quickly realized that it was high tide (and by high tide I mean there was hardly any place to walk along the beach the water was up so high). As soon as I saw it I knew we would need a back up plan so we went to take pictures in the forest nearby and on some cliffs. Thankfully at sunset we were able to shoot on the beach and the water remained in its place. All in all, this couple rocked this session despite the crazy high tide! I look forward to more Half Moon Bay sessions in the future!

Here is their love story told by Linnea:

“The first time I saw Max we were both at a huge Summer BBQ. He was dressed like a handsome hipster and I pointed him out to my sister. I remember walking past him to see if he would notice me, I even did a couple of loop arounds on my long board but he still did not notice me. Months passed before I saw him again. I was drinking coffee at a local coffee shop and saw the same hott man reading his bible. I remember whispering this quick prayer ‘ God please send me a man like that, it does not even have to be him’ next thing I know I walked into the doors of a new church and he was handing out the programs. He waited three months to talk to me, let alone ask me on a date. In one of our many long conversations he told me that when he saw me at church he said to himself ‘hey, that’s the girl from that BBQ’ I guess my sad efforts actually worked that day. He was the guy every girl wanted and I could not believe he choose me.

One rainy afternoon after a long walk and piggy back rides we went back to his house and decided to try a new spaghetti and meatball recipe, we stuffed our faces and I feel asleep on his lap. I woke up to him sweeping the hair out of my face as I opened my sleepy eyes he said ‘ hey, I love you’ without hesitation I said it back. I knew I loved him after our first date, he knew he loved me after 2 months of dating. We celebrated 6 years of marriage in October and I still feel unworthy to be his. We are husband and wife and we are also the best of friends. He is the easiest person to love and I would marry him again if I could. We thought we loved each other then but it does not compare to the love we have for each other now. The whirlwind of life and marriage has only just begun for us through the madness and trials I am glad he is the one there with me, we just make sense together.
