“We met in college when Maya was a freshman & I was a senior. Our friendship was always important to us, even before we started crushing on each other. A year and a half into our friendship, we decided to take a stab at dating (we always had a little crush on each other). It was long distance and hard, but having our friendship as a solid foundation made the relationship feel light and fun and loving. It became quickly apparent that we were meant to be together.
