In-home sessions are my jam. So combining that with an amazing couple, some cinnamon rolls & some kitties well it just made for the perfect morning!

“Luke and I met at a college party back in 2008. We were quite the pair. He was a quiet yet extremely sociable nineteen-year-old who had one too many pairs of skinny jeans and ridiculously long Bob Dylan hair. I happened to find myself in a red-headed phase and thought there was no better outfit than that of the 80s prom dress.

We spent the evening trying to convince the other person we were the epitome of “cool” and wound up talking into the early morning. To be honest, I have no memory of that conversation aside from the feeling of adoration but two years later, and a couple of relationships between us, we started dating.

We got married in 2016 and over the years have seen 16 states, 7 countries, countless road trips (including full-time van life for four months), had four fish, two cats, and shared three apartments. Luke is a doer, a hobbyist, a tinkerer. I am a dreamer, and a planner, a crafter. We’re two different people that found one another early in life who choose each other every day. While we may not be the people we started out as (though he’s still got some pretty voluminous hair), there’s no one I’d rather accidentally watch the sunrise with.” -Willa
