Our trip to the Seattle, Washington area was short and sweet. We spent three days in the area visiting friends and exploring the area. I also had some fun photoshoots in the city which I will be blogging next week so stay tuned!
We flew into Portland and immediately went to eat at Tasty n Sons for our anniversary dinner. We got hot wings, asparagus and the cod slider. Thank you, Phil Chester, for your recommendation. We then indulged ourselves with Salt n Straw ice cream for dessert.
Our day in Seattle was filled with lots of food and walking. We first started off eating at Piroshky Piroshky which was a great start to the day. I got an almond-filled one and man it melted in my mouth. We then got to see the view from the Space Needle and it was spectacular. A bit of a bummer since it was going under construction but it was still a beautiful view none the less. Later that day we ate at Beechers which had some amazing mac & cheese and then ended up later that day at a great taco place called Taco Chukis. This food adventure filled day was the best!
We visited a beach on the peninsula and my wonderful friend, Kelci, took these pictures of us. All of the beaches have a wonderful view of the mountain range. It was unreal to see in person!
This was our ferry ride view. It was an hour ride ferry ride in which Eli & I took in the view.
The one thing I wanted to do was visit Mt. Rainer. My goal this year is to visit 5 national parks (and maybe more if I can). One of my favorite views I have ever seen is this snow-capped mountain. If you get the chance to go you totally should!
